I Love It!!!

Do you ever get weekend's that are really busy but are so great that you want to repeat over and over again? That's the kind of weekend that I've just had! It was filled with great company, great music and most of all great food! On Friday night a few friends from work decided to go to Deanes at Queens and sample the delights, and boy was it great! I am a dessert girl at heart and I  was well impressed with the Banana Pannacotta and hot Chocolate Brownie!

If you are ever in my amazing little city of Belfast please call in to Deanes at Queens, you will not be disappointed!

More to follow from my amazing weekend - that is only Friday, there are still 2 days to go!!!

CD Swap

Over a year ago I found out through the blogsphere that there was a CD SWAP happening and anyone that knows me, knows that I absolutely love music and even more so NEW music that I might not have heard of before.  So of course I sent the email that I would like to be involved and within the next month I was paired up with the wonderful Tiffany from I am Rena's Daughter

We swapped a few emails back and forth to see what kind of music we each currently listen to and what maybe we don't like!

I got a little bit carried away and instead of making 1 CD for Tiffany I had to make 2 because I couldn't decide which music to delete from it! I also made these little CD Cases from a tutorial on Pinterest which can be found here

Above is this finished product, which I hear was very much enjoyed!!

If you know of any other cool swap going on please let me know as I had so much fun with this one!!

Time

Taken from The Gift written by Cecelia Ahern . . .

One thing of great importance can affect a small number of people. Equally so, a thing of little importance can affect a multitude. Either way, a happening – big or small – can affect an entire string of people. Occurrences can join us all together. You see, we’re all made up of all the same stuff. When something happens, it triggers something inside us that connects us to a situation, connects us to other people, lighting us up and linking us like little lights on a Christmas tree, twisted and turned but still connected on a wire. Some go out, others flicker, others burn strong and bright, yet we’re all on the same line.

A lesson finds the common denominator and links us all together, like a chain. At the end of that chain dangles a clock, and on the face of the clock the passing of time is registered. We hear it, the hushed tick-tock sound that breaks any silence and we see it, but often we don’t feel it. Each second makes its mark on every single person’s life; comes and then goes, quietly disappearing without fanfare, evaporating into air like steam from a piping hot Christmas pudding. Enough time leaves us warm; when our time is gone, it too leaves us cold. Time is more precious than gold, more precious than diamonds, more precious than oil or any valuable treasures, it is time that we do not have enough of; it is time that causes the war within our hearts, and so we must spend time wisely. Time cannot be packaged and ribboned and left under trees for Christmas morning.

Time can’t be given. But it can be shared

Andorra - Chilling

In February 2011 I went Skiing to Andorra for Leanne's 30th birthday.  Unfortunately Skiing and me did not get on very well.  I did enjoy the holiday but while the girls were hitting the slopes I was hitting the books and chilling in Andorra reading, reading and more reading.  It really was so relaxing and something I would love to do on holiday again, nothing except relaxing and reading and relaxing some more!!

Someday

"it's not okay that you hurt me, but I am okay.
I deserve more, I know that now.
and maybe you knew that inside, that you couldn't give me that yet.
so you set me free.
we would've been so great.
but you never gave it a chance.
so now you'll never know what could have been.
maybe someday you'll regret it,
maybe someday you'll see me...
walking, smiling and happy.
alongside someone who's walking, smiling and happy because he has my heart.
maybe then you'll stop and realize what you're missing,
because someday, someone is going to thank you for letting me go."

An Instagram Generation

I know Monday is usually for music but I found this video and really wanted to share it!!  Have you been lucky to have attended an Insta Meet in your area?? There is a group trying to get this going in Belfast and I really hope it takes off because I would love to see the people behind the pictures!!!

Spring Has Sprung

Aren't Daffodils beautiful!!!! These little beauties were in the park right across from my house.

Opposites

“We’re so different. We’re hot and cold, fire and water. I’m loud, you’re quiet.
I talk, you listen. I’m crazy, you’re sane, but that’s why this works…
You fill in my missing pieces and I complete you, and I guess that’s why,
despite the questions and the challenges, I still believe in us and I still believe in this…
and as long as we have each other, I think we’ll be alright.”

Tokyo Empire

One of the great things about Northern Ireland that I don't think a lot of people appreciate to the fullest is the amount of great local bands that have and that people do not really know about!!

Here is my pick for today . . .  Tokyo Empire who are an Indie band from Strabane!!!
